Don't participate in or perpetuate it, there are far better things you can focus on. You're interested in drama because Television sells it to you - it's manufactured, like a game of telephone. It's divorced from reality, providing nothing but an excuse to repeat to yourself that you're better than someone in the imaginary world you've constructed in your mind. You've bought into a Western myth and there is no more succinct way to literally waste your life.
Trolling is the art of saying something offensive, watching as people react, and pretending you've discovered some incredible super power that only the extremely intelligent can manipulate. It's also a good way to cover for the fact that you actually don't know a lot and your own personal failings and provides a convenient scapegoat to cover up your inefficiency.
It's not tit for tat. "Eye for an eye" is the laziest form of justification. Most often it goes into a system of punishing people for being dramatic, for being undramatic, for causing drama that you only imagined. It's meaningless. It's a waste.
